If you consider yourself a "Christian," believing in the judeo-christian-muslem "God" I'd find myself a nice non-denominational church to attend. Or possibly a Society of Friends (Quaker) church to attend.
However, if you are looking for an opportunity to search beyond the Christian attitude of "the Bible has all the answers, look no farther" I would take a look at one of the Eastern spiritual practices like hunduism, buddhism or taoism.
If you don't know much about these eastern philosophies, take a look at the link below. This site can teach you the basics of each religion -- and many other of the predominant religions. You may find what you are looking for. |

Take your pick:
Jews don't believe that jesus was the son of god.
Christians have hundreds of denominations of which protestants and cathloics are the foundains of both.
Cathloics came first but their original concept of church (way back when) was corrupt, so came the protestants.
Protestants have divided up into many of many of groups.
The way to stay away from are the Mormons, their original leader here in the US had many of wives and was arrested several times.
Muslims: Believe in jesus but that he was just a prohet. They have a large selection of radicals, (the majority of the population of muslims are peaceful but the radicals are VERY radical)
There are many other religions, just pick what is best for you. I do however recommend to be very careful when picking a religion, a large amount of religious groups will try to push their personnel points of view on you. |

You don't even need the Bible to know God. In fact, IMO, the Bible is so twisted into a book of social values and taboos that it has lost much of what it may have once been.
If you just want to gain some center and meditate on God (whatever that is) you might want to try some Hindu faiths. Or better yet, read some Greek philosophy. |

I've learned from experience that when it comes to spiritual issues, you need to research things yourself so YOU can make a decision. |

I grew up Catholic, spent 5 years working in a Methodist church, and 5 years working in a Presbyterian church. I consider myself a Christian. I believe that I should worship God, not a religion. Every church has something different to offer. I would do some "church shopping" and discover where you fit in. Center yourself around Christ and He will lead you. Trust in Him. |

Religion is not necessary to have a relationship with God. Every religion puts its own spin on the Bible, and none is the "best."
If you want to be part of a church family, I suggest visiting different denominations of churches and see what you are most comfortable with and sticks as close to what the Bible says as possible.
Ultimately, belief in Jesus having died for your sins is what makes you a Christian, and the Bible is the absolute authority on the rest. |

Even as an Athiest, I say you don't need a label. That's fantastic that you believe in God, and you should just leave it at that. Follow your own personal beliefs, don't try to label yourself. |

Christianity would be the best. but there are many other religions within christianity such as: catholicism, lutheran, baptist. Or you could just go with christianity. basically all the religions within christianity are the same but have varied differences. |

Do you believe in God, like some believe in the devil, angels? To believe in Him means to trust Him. If you ask Him into your heart and life, the Holy Spirit will guide you in any following matters.
It is not enough to be good and enter into heaven, for the Bible says all our goodness is as filthy rags. We need a relationship with Jesus. He is the bridge between sinful man and God. Hope this helps you:) |

If you belive in God...you need to recognize Him.
You need to know the Qualities of the God. What are the Qualities that make Him God and find the Truth about God.
There is an online book on "Concept of God in Major Religions" you can download it from the link in the sources. You will need winzip to open it up. |
