I have a great job, I don't own a credit card (blondie6...)
I went into Circuit City, purchased 2 Razors & a 2-year contract, paid with my debit card, and get a bill each month which I go pay in person or send a check for.
You can get by without a cc. |

Start with a pay as you go plan. most carrier have them now. AT&T, Virgin like I said most. You buy the phone and pretty much pay as you go. Once you get established with them and have a good payment history you can get a regular monthly plan.
Alos if you have a savings or checking account most have debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo. |

You can use your bank account. Your debit card can be used like a credit card. I don't know anyone who doesn't have a bank account unless you are 15 or an illegal immigrant or something. You can try their pre-paid service, but if you plan on using your phone a lot, pre-paid is too expensive. I'm not sure that those pre-paid credit cards you can buy, would be allowed. I think you'd have to ask T-Mobile. |

I dont think you need a credit card, I have t-mobile and my mom doesnt have acredit card. but you can gt a sidekick prepaid its just super expensive for the phone and you have to pay like $1 a day |

Visa does offer prepaid cards which work exactly like a debit card (i.e. can be used for online purchases and also at a store like a regular credit/debit card), but can be reloaded like a gift card.

you dont have to have a credit card to get a cell phone. just an address for the bill to be sent and then pay the bill by check. there are of course other options such as having the amount automatically deducted from your account. what you do is get a visa debit card it works the same as a credit card but the money is deducted from your account automatically at a chosen day of the month. Debit cards are easy to get they are just attached to a regular bank savings and checking account, you can use it just like a credit card but it isnt a credit card. |
