I can understnad how you feel. It must be very frustrating. Has she explained why? Maybe she can't afford it or maybe she is trying to protect you. Actually it does sound like she does not want you to be meeting men who take advantage of kids on the internet with messaging and calling their cell phones and she is smart to be this way. You don't sound mature enough to be able to spot a creep and to know how to handle it. You could get raped or hurt very badly in a way that would affect you the rest of your life. Please don't hate her, I think she is only trying to protect you from harm. She loves you very much! |

Now Sweetie, you know that deep down, you don't hate your Mom. You're angry at your Mom. There's a difference. Running away is never the answer, especially when it's over something material like a cell phone or something. Think about what that would really do to your family. Are you going to be that selfish? Think about what can happen to you on the streets. The outside world is a very dangerous place for a young girl or boy on their own. Many runaways end up dead. If your Mom won't let you have the things that you're asking for, perhaps if you acted a little more mature and showed her how responsible you can be, she might eventually change her mind. For now though, keep in mind the old saying "you can attract more flies with honey then you can with vinegar". You might also sit down with Mom and discuss the possibility of doing extra chores or something around the house to pay for the things you want. A little responsibility and maturity goes a long way. Good luck and try to work things out with your Mom before you make a potentially dangerous mistake. |

OMG your mom won't let you have a cell phone? What does she expect you to do? How are you going to survive? ON her love, only? With just the roof over your head and the clothes that she buys you?
Girl if you runaway your mom is going to have to call the cops. If that happens you can be in alot of trouble.
Stop being a selfish spoiled brat and appreciate the things you DO have instead of the things you don't need.
There are kids out there who don't even know who their parents are, what a good meal is, what it's like to have someone to love them and they would gladly steal you a cell phone just to trade places with you. |

Try to take a walk in her shoes and think about why she might be saying no.
I know you're gonna hate hearing this,
but she wants what's best for you, and if she always got you everything you wanted, you'd get spoiled. If you're really concerned, have a sit-down talk with her about why you think you should be allowed to do these things.
And NO don't run away, she'll just call the police after you.

You hate your mom?? why ??? isn't HATE a strong word to use. Why do you hate her??? Does she beat you or call you names or is it that she doesn't let you run loose and let you do what you want??
If it's abuse, I suggest getting help.
If it's something else, I suggest maybe talking to your mother about it or if you feel you can't talk to someone else.
Moms are great. We do not understand what mom's go through and we do not truly appreciate them until we grow up and become moms ourselves.
Moms sacrafice a lot to make their children happy. There were times where my own mother went hungry just so her children had something to eat
Thing of the pain they went through to bring us into the world.
Whatever the problem is RESOLVE IT!!
If you were my kid and told people that you hated me, we would be having a heart to heart talk right now.
Might I add, I read your reasons for hating her. YOU SOUND LIKE A SPOILED BRAT! I am sure your mother has reasons for not allowing you to have these things. That is no reason to hate your mother. Geez kid! |

Yes, you sound like you're 10, or 11, like I am, and I do also have times where I hate my mom, but I get it over with it by thinking of how grateful I am for actually having a mom. |

1. That is no reason to hate your mum. A reason to hate your mum would be she stabbed you.
2. If your mum stabbed you, you could get married and move out as a teenager like i did - but then you'd never have any money the rest of your life.
From someone who knows - i think you should stick it out and try and understand why she says no to these things, for example paedophiles use these facilities to communicate with children... this is one of many reasons she may have said no. |
