Wow! That is amazing! And here I though GPA's only went as high as 4.0.

uuuhhh well it seems to me you should be able to get into any school you want with a gpa like that

My school doesn't show anything over 4.0, even if I have grades over 100%. I think you should get into anywhere with that sort of GPA.

You can have a GPA higher than 4.0 by taking and passing weighted classes with any passing grade getting bumped up a notch.
D = C
C = B
B = A
A = An extra point that gets factored into the GPA.

On a standard four point scale, if you took all weighted classes and got As in all of them you would have a 5.0.

Sounds like your school is grading on a five point scale and if so then you should still be able to get into most any college you want to.

A 5.6 GPA is very amazing, great job. Truly, I'm impressed. However, your college acceptance may also depend on your ACT/SAT score. How'd you do on these?
