Sadly, the person will most likely not listen (at best) or become defensive and hostile (at worst). I would recommend contacting Alcoholics Anonymous and seeing what they recommend. |

try talking to him first but dont talk to him where it is boring so he will listen and if that dosen't work then start doing something that he would hate for you to do . just be honest about your feelings and show him that you care about him . if possible go to the internet and look it up about drinking habits and print it out and ahow him how much drinking can harm his body let him know that it is ok to drink sometimes! |

I would, but definitely start off by telling the person that you truly care about them and are concerned. They may get mad at first, but if it makes them think about what you said, they may eventually get over their anger and deal with the issue. |

To tell you the truth, that would be smart and caring, but at the same time it won't do anything. I used to be an alcoholic and we can only quit if we want to. My best friend talked to me about it and at the time I thought she was just being a b***h I couldn't have cared less, it both made me mad and hurt my feelings. So if you are going to, be gentle and don't go in like you know everything cause I promise they will get defensive. Even if they know it's a problem, to them, it's really not!! |
