I read the Bible all the time. I have got to write prayers about different things and I just can't seem to do it..I can say a prayer off the top of my head. I don't use scriptures but I can say prayers. I'm suppose to use a scripture in the prayer..and I am having so much trouble with this...please help...

i guess the real problem is that i'm not use to having to worry about what i say in a prayer..my prayers have always come from my heart at the time they were needed. i don't mind praying with anyone ..i just never had any problems before so this bibly study is really messing with me ..i have prayed about it and i just still can't get it right..some examples are this:persecuted chrestians in foreign lands, natural disasters,the president & political leaders |

God will hear whatever you pray. If you think you need to quote bible verses in your prayers on certain subjects, just turn to the back of the Bible where they usually point out where to find phrases for different category of problems for you to refer. From there you select them for your prayers. I am sure you do attend church, go and approach an elder of the church and I am sure they would open their arms to help you. Always bear in mind GOD said in the bible 'Seek and you shall receive'. May GOD bless you and answer your prayers.... |

Any prayer should first come from the heart. Once you determine that, then you can find almost any scripture to go with it...all you need to do is research the Bible. |

Jesus gave us the Lord's Prayer. Why do you feel the need to write your own?
Okay, now I see from your further explanation. Try getting a hold of a Concordance. That is a book that you can look up different words in and it will point you to all the places that word appears in the Bible. It will help you find passages that relate to whatever you are thinking about. Your library should have one, but it's also good book for you to own. |

It is not that you are having trouble with the prayer, it sounds like you are having trouble with knowledge and understading that comes with insight. Write from the heart, your kind and giving soul knows what you need. Ask for guidance and you will receive it, ask for love and you will not want for it. May you always find peace. |
