First maybe you should look up in the phone book under adult education and search for votech school.
Apply to take a test and get an adult education General Education Diploma which most places require to get a job.
They have day and night classes. I'm thinking you may not by the typos but you could already. Go to a work agency like tempforce or manpower and see what jobs they have available.
A lot of contruction type places will hire if your a man by just showing up every day and having a willing to learn and do your work well. You'd have to go to each one and ask if they are hiring . A lot of rejection, but someone is bound to need someone.
Check at a local church if you have a religion to see if they know anyone who needs any help. They have a large network usually.
You did not say what kind of job you can do.

Learning English might help, and I'm not trying to be mean either. If you need a job that bad, I'm sure you can find one no matter how bad it is, then you can keep looking while you have some stable income. It's not really that hard.
