Go to the HR dept. Tell them that you have no money, no resources in the bank , and direct debits due to be paid. If the mistake is theirs, then you will be expecting the company to pay any bank charges you may be facing.
Then tell them that you expect to be paid half of your earnings in cash by the end of the day today. WITHOUT FAIL. |

Maybe they didn't pay you because you've been playing on Yahoo Answers instead of getting on with some work ;-)
But seriously, tell them you have bills to pay, and now because of their cock-up, you're going to incur bank charges, which you fully intend to pass on to the company for reimbursement.
They'll more than likely issue you with a cheque to cover the wages. |

What a pain in the neck! Bank holiday and all. If this is your first payday from this firm they may have put your bank details into the computer wrong. Ask if you can have an advance out of petty cash.
If this has been a consistent problem with your firm or other people haven't been paid as well then tell them that you're going to Citizens Advice about it with the view to getting ACAS involved with it. |
