curiositycat	I agree with you. I think people do it to accumulate points rather than present a worthwhile and thought out answer. I asked some serious questions and received some smart aleck answers myself. Some of them displayed quite a sense of humor, though! It's what we make it, just like anything in life...

robert_ranchero	It looks like you have already received your answer. I to actually like this web-site, and wish the stupid remarks could be left out. I find it a lot better than the chat rooms I've looked at, at least here you can get an answer. I wish you could email back the the person that gives you a good reply to a question. But than someone would find a way to mess that up too. I,ll ask another question to give these 2 points back. Try and have fun in spite of the jerks.

Kitty	Well I guess they might just be trying to get pionts. I agree with you, if you don't have a "real" answer just don't answer at all because that is just a waste of the person's time and yours. Some people probably just don't have a life (lol).

dixierock	Probably, because they don't know the answer, and you know how kids are! They want the 2 points. I just can't figure it out either, what do they think they are going to use the 2 points for?? Maybe they don;t understand the yahoo! answers, game? It's not going to get them anyplace, only to look like a bunch of morons!! And, why do they answer a question, with, look it up? If I don't know an answer, I will look it up for them.. another one, someone would say, call the repairman? Or, hook up the cable to the pc, then to the c-drive, and don't explain, how to do it..stupid things, like that..maybe, back up the d-drive, and don't tell you how to do it..some real winners!! Most yahoo! members, actually do give some great answers!!

shevvie31	Yes they could and that would be pretty annoying. I usually answer only those which i can relate to and know about very well. Its up to you then to decide logically which ones are so called "fake" and the so called real. The people could respectfully answer any question they want. I must admit some answers could be irrelevant but it only happens like 5% of the time. Mostly the responses are decent or serious so far. And to those people who answer "i dont know" they just want the 2 points LOL.

wilsonsdad2003	I don't know why you asked that question. This is a real answer. Well... one thing I can say about the people who do that. It isn't smut. I have seen some real jerky questions. I believe they hide behind the fact that their face cannot be seen. They are very cowardly.

enzyme304	Huh? Oh Yeah? Duh. Like, I don't know. Thanks for the two points. I agree. It is irritating to get replies like those and worse. My favorite is " u r so dumb." If my questions are so dumb, then why do some people bother to answer them with their inane replies? It can't be just for the 2 points. The people who answer like this only have a handful of points anyway, and soon get bored and drop from the site. I have learned to ignore most of these non-responses.

KAT	You can click on the "report abuse" button. The Yahoo people will then look at it and if peoepl are full of sh**, they'll block them .

farmergyrl23	Some people just want the points, apparently they think the points are worth something, but their like gold to some. Also some people are just jerks and use this site for their entertainment, rather than helping people with their problems or questions.

Aunt Sam	I agree with answerer 1, people will do anything for this point system! I think the point system should be thrown out. Either that, or altered. Maybe we could pick the top 3 answers to a question, and 10 points awarded to each, but no points for answering! People always ruin the good things in life! It's something I accepted many years ago, and as much as it saddens me, good people make a difference too. Good luck to you, and try to have fun on here, I do!

MISS ******	I think the "I don't know" majority are just letting you know that they have read your question and they don't know either. At least if you get 43 "I don't know", you don't feel as stupid for not knowing yourself. I hope that makes sense - it sounded right in my head. There are a lot of serious questions that do get serious answers, but some are just plain silly. It is fun though & at least whilst I'm on here, I'm not spending my wages on E-Bay..........

Gar	Because you only get two point per question answered and if you need to build up your score you have to answer loads quickly. I have loads of points to get before i REACH LEVEL 3 just under 300 points so it makes sense to answer as many as possible.

Bapboy	You people, the 'I don't know' and one-word answerers, you're just pathetic! You're so OBVIOUS. Without hesitation, you rub your two brain cells together and come up with a "What?" or a "2 points!". I mean what do you guys NEED those two points for anyway? You can't DO ANYTHING with them! You can't buy bread with them or trade them for gumdrops! It just means people looking for answers get swamped with answers from people with the mental age of an eight year old with nothing better to do. This website is a good idea, yes, but sadly, abused, and in many many instances, for me anyway, uselss. I have through this site found out a few interesting things though. I just wish it wasn't so full of people who either don't know anything and are quite loud about it, or preach exhaustively on things they obviously know anything about!
