One year is not that big a deal. If it were 5 years, it may be something to worry about, or if you were a sophomore in high school trying to get w/ a 7th grader, that'd be a little weird.
There's obviously somethin good about this chick, or you wouldn't like her in the first place, right? So go for it & see what happens. You'll never know what you're missing out on if you don't :-)
