Why is he so mad at you having surgery??? That would top any priority list in way of necessity and you need to explain it to him so that he understands. Would he rather you ask him for money to support a drug habit or worse? Why is he being so irrational is the 1st thing you need to find out if you don't already know & work on that.

you can't get him to pay, and not even tell him what he's paying for! £2,000 is a lot of money!
and also he would notice if you had the surgery, so he would probably realise that it was him that paid for it. |

I have to say that if you need surgery for medical reasons it is hard to understand why your father would object. Is it because you have done something dopy like getting too many infected piercings and now need to get it fixed? If it is a genuine medical reason you should be honest. If it is not, then you need to carry the personal responsibility for your stupidity and face up to the consequences. You should also make it clear that you will be repaying the money and how.
Grow up and start a savings plan so that if this sort of issue arises in the future you can take personal responsibility. |
