Foaming indicates cardiac/respiratory poison - there is myriad of poisons that can do these.
An overdose of regular drug is the most likely poison!
Also it could be a bad reaction between two drugs; she took unknowingly.
Foaming occurs when the lungs can't push out the air normally; a lot of water gets released (little but lot for the lungs) - compressed airways and pressured breathing lead to the foaming ...
I have added this Quesiton to my Watchlist; add more info about her other symptoms and I might be able to pinpoint the drug ... |

That could be any number of things. The foaming at the mouth was just a symptom of the overdose itself. The doctors should've been able to pump her stomach to find out what the contents were if she swallowed it or took a blood test to see what she had taken. They can't properly treat her until they've found out exactly what it is. Sorry I couldn't help more. You might try webmd.com to see if you can find out more there. |

Let me say Imso sorry about your husbands mom.Your husband needs to talk to the DR or DRS that give her medicine ,they should have records as well as the hospital she is in.Ask if they have done blood test to see what is in her system causing her body to shut down.Tell your husband to go her pharmacy and get records of the meds she was taking .Do you know if she was on the phentanol patches these thigs are very powerful as well as dangerous if not used right or taken with other meds.Several people here in south carolina have died with those things.Your husband needs to get on the ball ask questions until he gets an answer if some one has done something wrong its not going to be admited so its left up to the family to do what they can to save there mom.My heart goes out to you, your husband and the family . My husband lost his mom 3 yrs ago and it was very hard on him ,his mom was in a coma to and we feel like she was given a morphine over dose but only God knows the truth but my husband lives with the pain every day of his life and blames his self because he didnt stop them from giving her morphine when she was in a coma. God Bless and good luck |

Foaming at the mouth could be a sign of an opiate overdose I can't say for sure but it sounds similair to a heroin overdose. |

Is she a drug addict or maybe did she try suicide?
The Doctors would be the ones with the answer as to what drug it was and what her chances of recovery are. |
