Most of the banks do allow you to cancell a cheque online which needs to be followed up with a personal letter. |

Contact your bank asap, tell them the cheque number and to whom it was made out too. Some banks charge for this and others do not. |

Go to your bank and ask for a stop payment. They will need more than the number of the cheque. The more details you provide the less expensive it is. A stop payment with complete details is $8.00 and incomplete details is $16.00. |

ring your bank but remember you need a proper reason or you can be sued you will need to tell the bank the cheque number and name of the payee and your reason for cancelling eg it has been lost or stolen ,the goods paid for were not what you ordered you cannot cancel a cheque because you have decided that you dont want to pay for something |

contact bank and informthem - you should be able to do this by phoning the central number 0845 3000 000 for Lloyds. The charge will be in the region of £20 - your bumph from the bank will tell you what the exact charge is - of course if your cheque book has been stolen, then there is no need to stop the cheque in order to prevent payment, you just inform teh bank of the loss / theft. |

Yes, you need to ring your bank asap and give them the cheque number and say that it was sent to wrong address. They will cancel the cheque and charge you between £10 & £25. The charge depends on the bank you are with. |
