The banking ombudsman at
http://www.bankexperts.co.uk/banking_ombudsman.htm
or
http://www.fos.org.uk/

There are proceedures you have to go through and it is not speedy but usually effective

See a solicitor or contact the Citizens Advice Bureau

It would all depend on why you need to take action, for a accident within the branch go to a no win no fee company they are all over the TV if it is a genuine error by the bank talking to the branch manager or director may solve it without action other wise i would speak to an extremely talented solicitor, because the banks pull no0 punches when it comes to court action.

chickadee
Is'nt it obvious, you need to see a solicitor, you will find a list of them in your telephone directory.

y2_tj
go see a solicitor and tell them why, they would advise you, also you probably will need a lot of money

Don't waste your time going through their complaints procedure-write directly to their Chief Executive first.Try Citizen's Advice if you do not get any satisfaction but I wouldn't hold out much hope there. You will almost certainly need to consult a lawyer. Some give free advice on first consultation. Also worth considering no win -no fee lawyers.

pen and paper and enverlopes , you can get them from partners

contact the banking ombudsman first.they will tell you if you have a case. you can find them on the web.

Better book a flight to Scotland. Start with your travel agent.

Roxy
You should start with their internal complaints system. If you have no joy with that then approach the banking obmudsman.

kerrykinsmalosevich
Contact the Royal Bank of Scotland Ombudsman first and the FSA, details of both should be found on The Royal Bank of Scotland website.

Then when you replies fromboth these people, you should seek legal advice.

Definitely try citizens advice first - careful you don't get charged too much by the solicitors.

With research, you might be able to get the right result from RBS by just threatening them with legal action and undeniable proof....

Try the Banking Obudsman. Before legal action.

bizzybee
If it is due to a Credit Card, was your card insured, i.e. with Sentinel or some other card insurer, if so try them.
