It sounds like a well-known scam that continually cycles. If you are a child of God, and a believer ... the best help for the person you could give them (especially unknown by you) is prayer. Pray on it, God will see the rest through. His eye is on the sparrow, and I know he watches over me. Same for that person. God Bless. |

It is a scam report it. Ask yourself how do I know this person? If it were a cousin or a friend of the family it would be different. If this was a true story the lady would have gotten in touch with the Red Cross or other humanitarian organization who would have helped her.I received a similar letter recently and the lady claimed to be religious too. Until recently it was not illegal for Nigerian people to run scams on the Internet they even had schools to teach them how. Many are actually very rich for it. This was recently covered on a TV show I just can't remember which one. Forward her address to your local news station someone may be willing to chase it on a slow news day I would definitely report the attempted scam to the police. |

This is definitely a scam -- I just read an article in our paper last night where this same thing happened to 2 different people right here my little home town --- The story they got from a person in Nigeria was almost exactly word for word like you stated in your question.
Please do not let them take advantage of your good heart.
Not only shoud you not participate in any way... I would suggest reporting the messages to your local law enforcement. |

I received this same letter. Keep in mind that if she had this kind of money the bank would gladly help her with the correct ID. If this man was her husband then why is she seeking illedgal means to obtain funds. the way this scam works is you comment, they pretend to wire money to your account then they start asking you for money agaist this so call money that you will never get but they have your account number and personal information. This lady is in the USA. Please don't get involved. |

Run a mile. The Internet is full of this stuff. What planet do you live on? Either you will lose your money or you will get into serious trouble with your government, or both. |

This is an old web/e-mail scam.
In Nigeria they have classes and whole courses of study devoted to defrauding western banks, indivuals and various organisations. I'd advise just deleting it.
Some of my friends who have received the same e-mails have responded with the sole intention of stringing along the would be theiving wretch. Their responses do get quite sad/pathetic/funny. |
