you can refuse.
you have a verbal contract.
1.there was offer and acceptance.
2.there was consideration (goods passed).
3.there was agreement to the terms.
warmly invite him to small claims court if theres a problem. |

It depends on how well you know him really, if he is a friend, then you probably should give him the money back and take the guitar, but if it's a stranger, who cares? Just say that the sale is final and that there are no refunds. |

You should definitely refuse! The moment the money hits your hand it's yours and it's YOUR right to keep it! (Unless you sold it to him broken and he didn't know or something like that in which case you probably should just be nice and hive him back his money.) |

The transaction was made - unless there is something severly wrong with the guitar or you didnt tell him a bout a defect, i would keep the money... it was a deal/transaction |

You can refuse....the deal is sealed. However, if there was something wrong with the guitar.....and he was unaware, then you are responsible and need to give him his money. What was his excuse of not wanting it? |

Just say that your sale is final. |

you can refuse man. tell him to go sell it and get his money back that way. it would be different if it was broken or something. but as long as it's in perfect working condition, i'd tell him it's his problem now. in the nicest possible way of course. |

That is up to you. I am sure you didn't sell it to him with a warranty, or if dissatisfied will exchange or refund.
You were not a store. A sell is a sell. You sold it HE bought it. |

If you sold him a perfectly functioning guitar and did not tricked him, you really don't have to return the money. Only if you want to. If you don't want to, I believe is fine and the law is on your side. |

if hes already paid you for it then you dont have to give him his money back unless you told him he could get it back if he wasnt satisfied, i wouldent, i would say sale is final! good luck! |

if its ebay, he'll probably ***** about it and write bad reviews or stuff like that. if you care about your rating, then return his money. if you dont send him emails and make fun of him.
if you know him in person, all you have to do is stop returning his calls. |

Depends what his excuse is and what kind of person you are. Im sure if its a good guitar you can sell it again quickly.
You are perfectly within your rights to refuse however |

That depends on a lot of factors. If you just sold it out of the paper or to someone you know...then I would say prob so.
If you sold it on ebay, then no. It is ebay policy that once you sell it and they pay then that's it. You don't have to give a refund if they change their mind if you don't want to.
If you had a contract of any sort, that would depend on what the contract said.
If you already spent the money, then you can tell them...sorry dude, but you paid, I spent, it's yours.
If you don't give the money back, then he can take you to small claims court. You will need to be prepared to face that if it comes to that.
Perhaps offer him half back. Tell him that you won't give him all back because he already paid, and you assumed that he would be coming to get it. Otherwise you lost out on a deal to sell to someone else and now they have gone else where and you can't sell it now.
Good luck, and hope you make a decision that you both can live with. |

ask him why he doesn't want it anymore. if he has a reasonable excuse like damage/ or something is wrong with it i would say refund. if not just say "im sorry but the deal was made." |

All sales are final. As long as he has the guitar, and you have the money... *Shrug* There's nothing he can do to get it back, unless you didn't advertise the guitar properly.
If it's damaged and he didn't know about it, or something different than advertised, then yeah, you need to give him his money back. |
