Australians get the same service from the BBC and don't pay a licence they voted against it.we just get pushed around this is not a democracy but more of a dictatorship. |

I agree when it first come out we only had them so did not mind paying now we have 100's of channels most with adverts so what are we paying for now??
Only good thing is we have three televisions in our house and just pay once would be up in arms if had to pay for all three! |

Yes - I object to not being given a choice.
I would rather pay by subscription than have to stump up each year for shite like Strictly Come Dancing and to pay the vastly inflated salaries of Paxman and Woss. |

there are adverts on the bbc they advertise their own publications and programms this week they have announced cut backs on dramas (the only thing realy worth watching
bbc radio is good value thogh its FREE
in the early 80s i went to prison for 1 week for not paying a fine for having no tv liecence i was 8 months pregnant and in no position to pay so for the next 25 years i didnt buy one as a matter of principle got sick of dodging the detector van so 2 years ago i bought one pay by direct debit |

Yeah ,they are!,you have to pay to watch the TV that you have already bought again and again every year-what a rip-off!
Imagine how many TVs you could have purchased with that money-or spend on something else!! |

Yes it a shame to pay money for this junk. |

I don't, there is just **** on the BBC, and don't want more adverts offending the airtime it has |

Yes I agree..one of the many reasons I'll be glad to go back to the states where I don't have to pay for a TV licences. |

yes seeing that they pay plonkers like Johnathon Ross 1 million pounds a year for nothing but cr*p
and the free loading bosses get thousands in bonuses for showing repeats
the only good show they done recently that's been stopped because it cost to much and the bosses didn't get such high bonuses was life on mars
you read the express as well then
PS BBC radio is not free if you don't have a TV then you must have a radio license to be able to listen to radio |

Yes i agree totally with you, especially as its all down to the bbc that mainly shows repeats. There should be a referendum for the people to decide wether we should continue paying it or have the option to scrap bbc! |
|

daniel_son_bonsai

totally agree bbc is total rubbish at the mo. they should scrap it and bring in adverts so they can make better programs again |

Yeah, and completely benign as the BBC makes revenue of its own now and all a TV licence does is pay for BBC.
BBC does show dog borstal though, it's very good... |

My dad(breadwinner fur years) huz always disagreed wi' the T.V. licence. He is noo 75 years old and is , at last, aff the hook!!! The licence should huv been scrapped when all the cable/sky stuff came in. BBC urr the worst offenders fur "adverts" noo. They spend loads of time in between programmes, advertising their own stuff!!! |

Yes and it's only the for the bbc, and they got crap programs anyway |

Jonathan Woss and Top gear is all i watch on BBC for £135 per year.
Yip its a rip off. |

No, television licences are not a rip-off.
For a start you only have to have one and pay for the BBC if you have a television set.
If you don’t have a television, you don’t have to pay for a licence, but you are still paying through your household bills for ITV, Channel 4, Sky, etc., etc. even when you don’t have a telly!
Now THAT's a rip-off! |
