If its a credit agreement then they shouldn't have offered you the contract any way, thats their duty to check not yours, this leaves an upaid contract which someone must pay for, tell mum and dad and get them to wtite a letter detailing your age and the amount owned an suggest planned repayment structure, otherwise go to OFcom anf tell them the story and see if they can offer any advice |

If you knew it was wrong, why did you apply and why did you use it? That's fraud on your part in my book, I don't care how old you are |

You should get in touch with OffCom, who will intervene if Orange have done something wrong. Also, you should probably tell your parents, they will probably be more successful in getting something done. |

Speak to your parents and let them handle it, if you continue to deal with this alone they will intimidate and continue to worry you because its easy to manipulate a child however if they had to speak to your parents on an adult level they would not be able to worm their way out of the situation because I'm sure they would be able to articulate that what was done is illegal and could threaten legal action. |

just inform orange of you age and forget about it it is there fault for accepting you in the first place. the contract is unforceable in law as for it to be binding you have to be eighteen just forget about it |

it's there fault for giving you a contract, tell them your age and don't worry about it.the publicity is bad for them |

I am not that aware of laws England, but in the US a minor cannot be held responsible for a contract. I would say that as long as you did not lie on the application then this is their mistake. You should contact them and let them know that you are a minor and did not know what you were getting into. You may have to contact an attorney, he can probably get it dismissed. |

Call them and tell them you are only 14 and you want to close the account. It is so not legal for you to have opened an account. Call the FOS (Financial Ombudsman Service) They solve disputes like this. |

I am having the same problem with T-mobile.
From a legal prespective the contract does not exist as you have you be 18 to sign a legally binding contract. Did you tell the store you were 18? Or your real age? If you told them your real age and they still gave you a mobile phone contract you can go to the police, tell them what they're charging you and the fact that you told them you were 14. The shop has given you this phone illegally, however if you told them you were 18 then you will get done for fraud (slapped wrists)
Write an e-mail to Orange explaining the reasons why you're not paying this money, and that you want to cancel your contract phone they will probably ask you for a copy of your birth certificate and they'll cancel it straight away when receiving it.
If they still don't then you should go to the police straight away as they have acted illegally. |

You need to talk to your parents or a close adult friend and pay the citizens advice office a visit
I am sure you wont have to pay as you are under age
Speak to an adult about this as soon as you can |
|

?
|
Now do you see why theres an age restriction?
I dunno what would happen to be honest, maybe nothing, I mean they cant exactly do much, they did sell it to you when you were 14!!! |
