Hang in there for a sec with me. This is NOT a smart *** answer, I swear.
If you are burning yourself you need to see someone about it. This is not a healthy way of dealing with things. If this is the only way that you have then you need coping skills, Going to see a therapist or councellor can help you find ones that will not hurt you.
Talk to your parents, teachers, school nurse, aunt, or anyone who will listen and help you get the help you need. |

Honey, there is always someone to talk to, your clergyman, coulselors, family. Surely you have someone you can trust with this to help you cope. Please seek some professional help for your sake, If you are depressed there are numerous medications on the market that can help you that won't turn you into a zombie. Good luck sweetie and please, please seek some help. |

Talk to a friend or family member you can trust, a friend of mine recently told me that she cuts herself, understandably I was a bit stunned, but I just let her know I'm there for her in w/e is going through and she's improved, it's hard for her but she's not as bad as she used to be, my advice is either talk to someone you trust or talk to a counselor as a last resort, peace out |

Talk to someone about counceling. Email Dr. Phil but get some assistance. There are alot of people who do this kind of thing and understand it. Talk to the people who care about you if you don't feel strong enough to get help for yourself. There is help out there for you probably closer than you think. You are reaching out now reach a liitle further. It can't hurt any more than burning yourself right? |

You should not have to hurt yourself to get attention! IF you ever need someone to talk to, talk to your parents or find an online pen pal, that is always fun! |

SI (self injury) behavior is very hard to quit. It's an addiction for most. If you have stopped, congrats! I started SI when I was 12, and it pretty much took over my life, as it does many others. Here are my suggestions: Consider therapy (it doesn't work for everyone, but worth a try), open up AND REACH OUT to your family and friends, get involoved in sports and other activities, get a journal and write down your thoughts and feelings, exercise/work out when you're feeling stressed, take deep breaths, listen to music that'll relax you, take a quick run around the block, find a punching bag, go for a drive, or take a bath. There's so many things you can do!! Another big one, take time to cry!
This link has a lot of information.

Good luck to you!! |

Im really sorry to hear about your problem. You should really talk with your parents (they may suggest therpy so dont get upset if they do) You could always try to talk to a best friend or close relative. if you dont want to do either of those things get involved in something that will draw attention to yourself (play sports, your parents would more than likely come watch) Join a club and make some new friends.Right poetry to let your feelings out in words. What ever you decide please dont hurt yourself anymore...or your gonna get the kind of attention you dont want.(from family members friends and docters at a burn unit if you mess up and catch your whole body on fire) |

Try talking to someone, in privite if you want, it helps alot. I just talking to someone about it, like a close friend, or a family member. I hope you stop hurting yourself, there is someone who loves you very much, and they wouldn't want you hurt, they can help you get through the tough times. |

inflicting self pain is common.sounds weird but not out of the ordinary.it is caused by childhood experiences.unless you can recall your total childhood,i recommend you speak with a therapist or find comfort in a nonviolent activity."Reclaiming and championing your inner child."is a great read on childhood issues. |
