My 14 yr old brother walks dogs in his neighborhood. He makes about $4 per walk. Over time walking more than 2 dogs a day - its not bad money. You could start your own business just like he did. You can look for single people in your neighborhood with pets. Lots of them want their animals to be entertained. You might even get more business if you broaden out to more than one type of animal (ie- dogs, cats, birds, etc...) Pass out flyers @ your local pet store and grocery store and viola! Lots of customers! |

Look for a job that lets you work through the Internet, where age doesn't count. You may want to brush up on your grammar first. It gives you away. |

You may need to file working papers found at possibly your local post office, library, unemployment office or municipal hall. |

depending on where you live and on your school, there are laws regarding teens and work.
i know that in my company you need to have a work permit from school to get a job. the work permit lets you know how many hours you are permitted by law to work during school days, and on vacations. many of the teens at my work can only work 3-4 hours a day...
first off, find out what your work permit allows by going to your job or career center at school. also, find a place who will hire you if you do have a work permit. 14 is really young, and many places require at least some experience before they hire anyone. but then again, how else will you get experience if you dont get a job.. =) good luck. |

Talk to your parents and let them know your intentions and look for a job close by so transportation isn't a problem and then find something your interested in or at least pays good. You might all so try volunteer work to find an interest. If you belong to a church ask your congregation for help there might be an employer attending your church. |

You can look under your recreation parks for summer jobs, like camp, etc. Or you can ask around stores that you know you can get jobs at. |

14-year-olds are best doing odd jobs for people, like lawnmowing or babysitting. These are good because they require no paperwork, are flexible and they generate money. |

Go to the mall and go to like Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle and ask if they are hiring. They will ask you a few questions and you will start working for 15 dollars an hour. You can work for as long as you want and come back anytime to start working. |

Because of your age, in Iowa you would have a hard time getting a position in a store or restaurant. If you like children and are trustworthy, then you could advertise to babysit, there is always parents that have had to look for child care during the summer months as their regular sitters go on vacation and so on. Also you could run errands for the elderly, like picking up packages, shopping for groceries, buying gifts for their grandkids or cleaning theirs windows, house, or pet walking. Look in your area and see if there is a home or two lived in by the elderly and maybe the flower beds need weeded or the fence needs painted and then approach them and see if maybe they would like to hire you to do this for them. Always write a contract and honor your word. One job, sometimes turns into more. Keep your rates reasonable and if you say you will be there, then show up. |

you could mow lawns or babysit. besides that, you can't get a legal job since you have to be 16 if you live in US to have one. If your street is laid back, knock on doors and ask if anyone needs their lawn mowed, put up fliers and have contact information on there. My brother's friend has never had a summer job in his life and he makes more money than I do mowing lawns at 20 dollars a pop and he's 18;he mows 5 lawns everyday which is 100 dollars. You'll have to start lower since you're new at it and if the neighbors like your quality of work, then you can raise it
Good luck |

you should be able to get a working permit at age 14. If not, advertise yourself if you can do something really well that people can't.
ex: mowing lawns-$25.00. 10 lawns is $250.00.
easy money |
