I would contact a lawyer who specializes in employment law. Not knowing your circumstances you could have a case. |

Wow, that job sucks...I would definately get a lawyer, one who would get you some big bucks. This sounds like you have a strong case, you may want to get someone who knows what they are doing. Good Luck... |

I believe it is illegal for them to fire you just because you filed a workers comp claim...I would suggest that you get a lawyer, unless they fired you for another reason, that they can claim...in that case you must prove that the real reason was the comp claim. Good Luck, hope it works out for you. |

this largely has to do with what state you work in. some states employ at-will, which means you work at the will of your employer, which means they can fire you for whatever reason - or no reason. if a law has been violated, you would very likely need a lawyer to assess your case and properly represent you. |

You don't give any information for anyone to know. Were you really hurt on the job, give details of how and when. Did you go to the doctors? Did you file a WC claim. What is the state status of your claim. What treatment did you get? what training did you get? What reason were you given for being fired. What is the date of claim? What is the date of firing?
Give theanswers and maybe I can help you. If you don't you are on your own. |

Get a lawyer and see if your reasons are feasible. |

Contact the Labor Board if you are in USA.
The time period you worked has nothing to do with it.
An employer can fire/dismiss you any time they want and do not have to give you a reason. . .unless you had a contract that specifies the length of employment and they terminated you prior to the term of that agreement |

Don't EVER defend yourself in important matters like that!
Get the best attorney that you can find that will take your case.
And REMEMBER, good attorneys do NOT charge anything up front.
They take earnings by getting some of the money they EARNED by suing the other people for you. |

They have to legally pay you your worker's comp, if they fired you just to get out of paying you, then I would atleast talk to a lawyer. |

Definitely call a lawyer. Most will consult with you for free, and let you know if you have a viable claim, and what it could be worth to you. These are rough times for many workers. Do all you can to protect yourself. Your years mean nothing to them, only to you, so make them count. Best of luck to you. |

Get a lawyer. Most lawyers won't charge you upfront in a case like this.
The lawyer will be able to inform you of all your options. Don't talk to anyone at your company about your intentions until after you speak with the lawyer. |

If it was due to a worker's comp claim, you may want a lawyer--don't do it yourself, but if it can't be proven, you're out of luck. It's called "employment at will". The same law that let's you quit for any reason basically lets them fire you for almost any reason. |
