CCTV can be set up quite cheaply these days so that is the option I would take, ignore the idiots who call you a jobsworth and such things, I for one really appreciate people being made to abide by the law, I would report anyone smoking where they are not allowed to, it is a good thing that inconsiderate smokers are now not allowed to inflict their habit on non smokers, I have had to suffer second hand smoke for most of my life and now I don`t have to, smokers have only themselves to blame for being so uncaring about people who are offended by the smoke, I love being able to go into pubs, cafe`s, restaurant`s, buses, coaches now without that horrible stench. |

A camera is an ILLEGAL invasion of privacy.. I would put up signs saying something along the lines of "We have evidence that there has been smoking in the communal areas.. As it is clearly stated this is against the rules! If further evidence is found from this date, offending residents will be evicted."
But as everyone else says, why bother, there are far more serious things to be concerned about.. Drugs etc.. |

Perhaps you should get them all to do a lie detector test, or get an elite surveillance team to watch them 24/7. How about installing cameras in their ashtrays or send in a "mole" that pretends to be a smoker. Get someone to torture and interrogate them until they confess. Failing that, send in a SWAT team to sort them all out. They are nothing but criminals and deserve to be punished!!!
OR ALTERNATIVELY....... GET A LIFE YOU JOBSWORTH!!!!
