Maybe, if you remove the bar code. |

Yes you would because the product has the same UPC code and can be returned at any store that sells the product. Barcodes are universal and they don't change from store to store. You'll be able to return without a problem they will just give you store credit because you don't have a receipt. |

Sure, just let them know it was a gift from a friend and you should have no problem. hopefully you haven't used it, otherwise they will most likely replace it. |

No they do not have the same bar code system, i work at target |

I saw a woman return diapers at Walmart that were bought at Kmart. They even had a Kmart sticker on them. As long as they have the same item (same packaging will have same bar code, it's not different for different stores), I don't see why they wouldn't take it back. It could have been a gift that you didn't need so they don't need to know where you bought it. |

Target has a system where they can look up a purchase using your credit/debit card. If you bought it cash, check with Walmart's return policy. If Walmart doesn't take it, sell it on Craigslist. |

I dont think so.... WalMart has a label on their stuff with a number code so you could return without receipt but it has to be purchased there |
|

TwinkaTee
 |
No, WalMart is not going to take it because it was not purchased there. They will scan the barcode and will be able to immediately tell it is not one of their purchased items.
Your best bet is to try to sell it at a small discount on your own to recoup your money. |

you could try it but and they take alot of things back it couldn't help but try but just so you know you might just get store credit |
|

Not without a walmart receipt, if they sell the EXACT same item you will get a gift card to spend there at Walmart. |

UPC's are universal product codes and are generally the same at each store unless their is somthing different about the one that one store sells vs the others.
Its a morally grey area at best, but you can try, the worst they say is no. |

The products in Target can only be return to any Target. No other stores will take it, unless its free. |

No, they scan the bar code. |

check this info out http://www.consumeraffairs.com/retail/target_defense.html
i would say no but i have heard that wal mart will accept a return from any where even if it's not from there store although this could also be a load of sh!t. but i still think you have a chance of getting back your money from target even with out a receipt. |

they won't give you cash, but if they sell it, they will at least give you store credit |

Most likely no. And you know what? It's gettin harder now to get cash back now! A lot of places will only let you exchange or get store credit! Blah! |

You can't return it for cash but you can probably get a store credit (in fact I know you can). If you don't have a receipt they will use your driver's license in place of. |

Since Wal-Mart is a large corporal line of stores you could buy something at a Wal-Mart in California and return it at a Wal-Mart in Maine for convince. This is how it is at most nationwide chains. With this being said I would say that it's highly probable that you could buy something at Target and return it to Wal-Mart. However, fail to mention the minor fact that you originally bought it from Target or else they won't take the transaction. I'd recommend to give it a try. The worse that could happen they won't accept it and you'll end up having to sell it on Ebay. |

no unless you have a reciept they only give you gift cards or an exchange of the same value and you can't cash the gift cards you have to spend it on something in the store |
