Usually, any contracts you sign allocate ANY intellectual property that you create as company assets. So the guy who creates a new idea for a computer processors (if he works at Intel) gets nothing extra and the intellectual property becomes property of Intel.
Sometimes, companies offer bonuses for ideas. For example, a certain retailer offers gift cards or other perks for ideas that make the company more money or help them save money. I've been on the receiving end of that before. |

Kinda depends on what category your idea falls under. But, nevertheless, you should get money if they use your idea. Unless it was something so small it won't make much of a difference. I general, your answer from me is 'yes.' |

The answer to that has more than one part to it. First you have to prove the idea was yours then depending on if you can prove you had the idea first then maybe yes, but trust the company will do it's best to prove you wrong because if they get stuck with a law suit for stealing your idea they will owe you a lot of cash. Advice, call for a consultant from a law firm depends on case to case situation, in some cases they can get away with stealing ideas, it's an everyday thing with companies. |
