His foundation does great things. You, on the other hand, are looking for a hand out. Good luck |

He gives very generously to charity.

Plus he made this money himself, not like some losers who sit on their asses asking for handouts. |

Q. I am an individual seeking financial assistance. Am I eligible for a grant?
A. In keeping with our charter, we do not provide funding to individuals. Learn about other organizations that might be able to provide assistance. |

Probably not you individually, no. But that's not to say he won't inderectly aid you by aiding an organization you could use |

Bill Gates has given away large amounts of money to fight AIDS in Africa, provide computers to libraries, and do various other good things. He does not keep it all. However, he does not give it it individuals for their personal use, only to charity projects. |

Why would he? Why should he? You picked your problems, it is up to you to resolve them. |
|

Hmm....
|
Bill Gates actually donates a lot of his money away, so stop talking down on the guy for having more money than you, or I will ever have in our life and our families lives. |
|

Bill

Hey, he earned his. Don't playa hate, go earn your own. |

Dang, I never thought I would have anything positive to say about uncle Bill. However, he and his wife are the head of one of the largest charitable foundations in the world. Their charter is quite a bit larger in scope than helping you out as an individual.
That being said, solving your money problems is up to you.
Perhaps you should ask yourself if you were making any amount of money over the minimum required for your existence would you give the surplus to someone who doesn't earn as much as you, or would you spend it on a "luxury" (like a car, for example)? |

you know i often ask myself this question but not really about bill gates he sort of earned his money but all the rich famous people while there out there spending 60k. on bed sheets we could use some of that money who should be making millions the people who work there *** off providing the things we need is this country no matter haw nasty the job or the people who can sing or are movie stars any way to answer your question i wouldnt wait up for him to help u its very unlikely |

I don't think he's going to send any money to you, but he has done a lot of good things with his money.
Regargless, It's HIS MONEY! He earned it and has the right to use it however he wants! If I had that money, I wouldn't want someone else telling me what I need to do with it! |

Well, in comparision, if all a begger needed was a couple hundred bucks to get themselves a decent set of a clothes, a hotel room for a shower and shave and be ready to go to his job interview, would you do it? Probably not. Same concept.
On the other hand, I think if I was a billionaire, i'd only keep enough to secure my future and my future family's future and the rest I would give away. Maybe not necessarily to charities, but if someone needed 20K to get rid of their debt and then could live a decent life, I would do it. (after I retired my close friends and family, obviously) |

make sure you have a great sob story then ring sky news and start telling people how much you love and admire bill gates and then he might feel obliged to give you a few quid was thinking that for xmas coming so let me no |

He would answer your prayer
He would sell you his Windows Vista so you could visit Ebay and sell off your meagre possessions. Which you could then use the cash to sort yourself out.
Or you could get to 532,234th in line |

He probable wouldn't help you directly, but he is known as one of the largest contributors to good causes. |

Get over yourself.
Private wealth does not belong to the public and no one is obligated to give their honestly earned money away to charity(except for the taxes they are forced to pay for government funded charities). That is true whether the person in question has $50 or $50 billion.
Bill Gates gives generously through his foundation, but it would be impossible for him to respond to all personal requests. He has therefore established a policy of not responding to requests for funds by individuals. |

Of course not; where would such a concept end? |

Why should he? Have you thought about getting a good education so you can get a high paying job?
Watch out, you might strain your arm spending your life with your hand out. |

Let's see now, donates to charities, gives computers to schools, sets up playgrounds in ghettos and who knows what else,,,I agree with other writers ,get some self respect and go ask for a job that you may have to start at the bottom like most people.. Not only will your confidence grow ,so will your salary and like me start your own business...it's awesome |

He worked his way from meagre beginnings, regardless of his business ethics.
Hi Philothranpic ethics are solid. No he won't give you money. You don't d appreciate(or deserve) money if you don't earn it. That is the stance he has taken with his children. Why would he give money to some loser. Charitable organizations are a different type of giving money, most of these organizations further society. Not drag it down like some bum. |

the gates foundation does not just give money away, you have to have a cause |
