It could take 7-10 business days for the check to clear. You can have your bank call their bank and verify funds, but alot of banks won't let you do that anymore...privacy policies. |

Normally three working days. So if you pay it in on Monday it is clear funds on Thursday! |

it ussally will clear by the next day. if it is a large amount of money then it can take up to a week to clear in the bank |

don't deposit yet. Call the issuing bank, and ask them if the funds are available ( they'll ask for accouint number on bottom of check) if you're really concerned, just go to that bank, and cash it |

Depends on your bank and type of check. I know with Suntrust, payroll checks are credited same day as well as most company checks. Personal checks can take between 3 to 5 days. Then there is Check 21 where now they may send a scan copy of the check to short the clearing period.

Ask your bank. Mine makes the funds available immediately. Really, all you can find out is when they will make the funds available. They don't really do anything anymore to "clear" checks you deposit. If it turns out to be bogus weeks from now, they will still charge the amount to your account. That is why you have to be really cautious in accepting checks from outside the country. |
