He does not need to be there. A joint account simply allows two people to share the money in the account and to share the account's maintenance. Only one of the account holders is necessary for deposits or withdrawals. |

Yes, you can. I would write your account number under "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY". Remember, you can't get money back though. |

A Joint Account not this girl if I did I'd keep track of what deposits were mine incase something happens.But no you don't need him there just sign your check & on the deposit slip put the whole check in keep all your receits that way you got records of your deposits incase U need them.Good Luck |

Where we bank, a check does not have to be endorsed by either party, nor does anyone have to be present. I can mark it for deposit only and place it in the night deposit with a deposit slip or just a note with my account # and it will be deposited. Also, if it is marked for deposit only, if stolen, another bank will refuse to cash the check. |
