I think you should be thankful...however if what you already have is too much to handle financially, thats where the complaining comes in..I have been on both sides of the fence, I think I would rather live simply, bills paid, food on the table. I must admit though, its nice to be able to save a little to take the kids to Disney once in awhile. It's only natural to look around and see what other people have sometimes, but wonder if they are truly happy. I believe security comes from knowing that someone loves you and that person will be there to care for you emotionally and provide the necessities of life. |

You should always complain about injustice. Just because the rules are working for you doesn't mean they are fair. |

Be thankful, simplify as others have said. Pay off the bills as soon as possible, save money for retirement 'cause you know there won't be social security for our age group. Look at what you have in your life and be thankful. Take stock of who you have in your life as well.
It is a survival skill to want more, to store up for the future or prepare for hard times. And once you have "more" you need more as a hedge against losing what you have. A long term financial plan may help you realize how much you have going for you.
Thanks for the Smithereens choice a while back. |

I think it is only human nature to want more than what we have.. for me though, i am the type that is happy with what i have..i have been very poor and am in a decent lifestyle now and never ask for more than I need. But just remember people are only human.....and desire things |

no you should not complain, because no matter what is going through with bills and stuff like that, just think that thier are people who have it a lot worse than you do. |

To be an American gives you the best possibilities in life. You have a 1% chance of being an American and from that alone you are lucky and should be grateful. Because of all the opportunities and possibilites we hardly know what it is to really have it rough. I will not be a hypocrit here though and pretend that I don't complain.. about pretty much everything.. just ask my husband. As humans - especially those of us in America - it's so easy to take things for granted. It's hard to even imagine or comprehend all the children dieing of starvation alone in Africa. It's like a different planet over there. I love meeting people that have nothing and live the simplest of lives and are the happiest people I've met. It's inspiring. |

Should you complain? No, you shouldn't, but you can. It just usually doesn't help much.
I think you can be thankful and keep wanting more at the same time. But yeah, it's hard, and that's why life's so wonderful - ever so challenging. |

Consider Maslows hierarchy of needs (a management concept) and you will find out what a person looks for to be happy |

Sure, if complaining makes you feel better.
You should be happy with what you have, yes, but wanting even more is always fine. Be happy. :D |
