Would you judge someone for wearing a suit? I wouldn't "judge them", but people were clothes to make a point. if your going to the trouble of dressing like a goth, then you WANT people to know it, and you can't blame them for having an opinion about it. |

honestly, i think everyone can judge someone in a way maybe not on the outside but the inside, its natural, but at the same time you have to consider their personality which is what really matters. |

I really wish I didn't but I do. I no it's not fair but I can't help it. It makes me sad that some people choose to wear so much black, and sometimes I think its just because they want attention. |

I judge everyone. It's my hobby. But I'm always happy to change my opinion with getting to know someone better. |

No. It's not what is on the outside that makes a person; it is one the inside where a person’s true beauty lies.
Never judge a book by a cover. Beauty is only skin deep. Ever hear these sayings?
Both of these are true.
I believe in self-expression.
All the labeling in the world depresses me. |

Nope, they are just trying to be like every other emo, goth, person who thinks conformity is wrong so they conform to non conformity and congratulations, they all look exactly the same. (so much for anti-conformity) P.S. the Cure sucks, and rocking back and forth writing bad poetry and hating everyone else does not help. |

I would laugh at them for wearing a uniform but not getting paid. |

Truthfully, my mind might go toward stupid stereotypes, but I try really hard to reserve judgements until I get to know the person.
One of the best people I know was one that I first looked at and thought "trouble!"
They are incredible. I felt ashamed about my initial thought. |

Think about it logically, if you see someone wearing a ballerinas outfit, wouldn't you just assume they were a ballerina? Or how about if you saw someone wearing a clowns outfit, wouldn't you think they were a clown? Or how about if you saw a man wearing the robes of a priest, wouldn't you think he was a priest? If you're wearing goth clothes, I'm going to think you're a goth. Don't try to piss in my ear and tell me it's raining. |

People see you the way you want to be seen. Most normal people want to look normal but, still have a cense of their own style. Dressing everyday like its halloween does raise suspicion even if its not ment that way. People have all kinds of ways to express themselves but, their are others that do it for shock value. They like the attention or simply are disturbed. Those who are not articulate enough to speak usually dont get their point across by the way they dress either. |

yes I would. I'm a goth, and I love the stereotyping that comes with being one! People assume I listen to metal and walk around sulky scaring people, which is what I love about being one. I can't speak 4 all goths, but I think most of the appeal is having people actually caring about what you do in your spare time, as opposed to the average random that walked past before you. |

We choose what we want to wear for a reason. I judge a lot about a persno by their looks because it tells me who they are.
Of course, that entails that, while everybody does this, what sort of stereotypes you apply and how intelligent you are when making these judgements about other people is another thing.
I personally wouldn't judge people who wear gothic clothing in any bad way. Only if they start acting in a bad way will I judge them in a bad way though, and not because they are wearing gothic clothes. |

My son goes goth and I worry that others may judge him. I think they see the inner him when they really know him. Your first immpression is a lasting one though and I"m worried it could cause problems. All of the young gals are attracted to him, but not sure about their parents. He catches plenty of girls but can't keep them. I think the parents may be part of the problem. |

No. That is like saying if a girl wears skimpy clothes she is asking for it. THAT IS SO NOT TRUE. Didnt your parents teach you respect for others or manners??? |

i would like the actual definition of GOTH but besides that i thought the crow was a bad *** movie but i think people that dress like that to be looked at and for attention is pretty funny in a sad they need a job kind of way. |

I'm a very judgemental person and to be entirely honest, I've been called a "goth" plenty of times myself, but I don't believe there's such a thing as "goth" clothing because in my mind, goths are simply a Germanic tribe from way back in the day.
When I judge people based on how they look, I usually do it not based on clothing, but based on facial expression. Otherwise I judge them based on their mannerisms and how they act in general.
But then again, I'm weird, so screw it. |

No, just like I wouldn't judge someone harshly in a cowboy hat? Would you? Why would someone in goth or any clothes for that matter care if I judged them? Who am I? Why would someone give me that kind of power over them, to have a say in what they wear? Wear what you want and what you like. Who cares if someone judges you? That's their problem, not yours. |
