Of course it would change my life!! I would be able to go nuts in Forbidden Planet, a new house, set my niece and nephew up with a trust fund, buy my Mum a villa in Spain, and generally go on a major shopping spree!!
And get drunk! |

Yes. My child changed my life as well. Having a child changes everything. More love to my child, than money. Money I could use for a house. I don't like renting. Education savings plan, pay off my debts, charity of several choices, including the charity for abused women and children fleeing abuse...Buy a winebeggo and travel across Canada, so my son can see his Great Grandma back east. |

Definitely. I would buy a place in the Northern Hemisphere and South and live in summer constantly. Would travel and go to a spa every week! |

What a silly question! Yes, I'd travel for the rest of my life. Share a huge amount with friends and family and help others along the way. |

Yes!!
I would be able to buy a house or two...cash! Spoil my friends and family...and of course give some to charity. I dont think I would stop working though, I would feel absalutely useless if I dont! |

Yes, but I like to think I wouldn't spend it on anything vulgar.
I would give go up in a hot air balloon, and throw some money out.
Some home improvements would be on the cards, such as a log fire. If I ran out of logs, I'd just toss a wad of money on the fire. |

Its a total different thing running a "normal" house economy , i.e. £2000, a month and jumping into £35m , it would change anyones life, i do not know what i would do with that amount of money. |

Ofcourse it would but not necessarily for the better - Oscar Wilde once summed it up with 'There are 2 tragedies in this life - the first is not getting what you want, the second is getting it..'
In terms of huge instant wealth whilst there would be instant material opportunities opened, there would also be a burden and a misplaced sense of now I must be happy..
Personally, like most people I would sort out all my friends and family first..then I would buy a nice home and go on a round the world cruise preferably on the Aurora or Oriana - by which stage I'd have decided what to do with the cash in order to forward the greater good! lol |

Damn right it would. I'd be able to do all the things I want to do. Also, I'd have loads to give to charity, so that's all good :-) |

not really. If you took the 1-time payout, after tax would be well less than 1/2 of that. Granted even a million is a lot of money, but it's certainly not a free ride.
I'd still work. Just maybe not as many hours. And, I wouldn't put up with as much s h i t as I do now. |
|

no, i'd still work in liddel and go to bingo on a wednesday.
OF BLOODY COURSE it would change my life, whats the point of that if it didnt |

Nah. I'd drive around in the same car but a newer version, still go to work and live in the same house down the same road. After all - why do the lottery?! Seriously though it would change my life massively and I wouldn't do any of the above! House first, luxury holidays and I'd buy a farm and turn it into an animal sanctuary so I could work there part time - after all it would get boring not working ever again and I love helping animals. I'd give a few million to family too. I'd be happy with £50,000 just to get rid of some debts and take the kids to Disneyland. Dream on! |

I think it would just freak me out. |

I would pay off all of my family's bills and give them each a million to do what they want with , I would of course pay all of mine off then build me a big big garage then start my muscle and classic car collection which I would then also build a few of my own just to have something to do , I would also buy a couple of nite clubs (there is always money to be made in booze) to run just for fun ! My friends would also share a bit too ! |

35 million what?
If it was Iraqi Dinars they wouldn't be worth the paper they were written on!
35million Japanese Yen would only get me about £154,500, and I could spend that in my sleep!
If we're talking 35 million UK pounds, then yes, it probably would change your life. To live a true "millionnaire lifestyle" in the UK and sustain it, would cost a hell of a lot more than a million. You could probably still buy a couple of decent mansions and overseas villas plus a yacht and still live comfortably off the interest that 35 million would give you.
Having said that, I'd probably waste it all and pay £20million to the Russians for a seat on the next launch into space to the ISS and become one of those 'space tourist' people! Sure, it'd be expensive, but what the hell, it's only money, and you only live once! |

Yes it would, but not necessarily for the better. I would suddenly have friends that I never had before. I would be hounded by the media. Companies would be contacting me to buy their stuff. It would be a major headache.
I would keep just enough of the money to get me out of debt and have enough in the bank for 1 years salary just in case and I would give the rest of it away to various charities. |

No, it wouldn't change my life at all - in fact, I'd bury it in the garden and forget all about it... OF COURSE it would change my life! If anyone on here says it wouldn't, they're lying!
I would give a HUGE heap to charity. Then I'd give each of my good friends and family members £1 million each - what's the point of being rich if you can't have expensive fun with other people? Then I'd buy 3 houses - one 3/4 bed in London (REALLY good location), one in Cape Town (giant, contemporary build near the beach), and one in South of France.
Then I think I would get a car. Maybe a Maserati. And I would spend every day with my beautiful husband doing lovely things and eating in lovely restaurants and going on lovely holidays.
IF ONLY!!!!! |

Yeah, my relatives would call non-stop instead of once a year.
I would put enough away for a comfortable retirement and then use the rest for charitable causes. Probably not a real big change in lifestyle otherwise. |

Pay off my brothers and sisters and kids mortgages.
Do stuff for other family members
Give a bit to charity
Get my garden done
Retire and travel the world. |

...it depends on how much you had before, but 35 million is a good amount, so, your priorities may change, instead of working thinking in your retirement, you'll probably work & enjoy life...
But, isn`t it that just what we're suppose to do with or without 35 million?
Money is't everything, but deffinetly erases the stress...

I would start a therapy group from my offices on 5th Avenue overlooking Central Park in New York. I would want to help people so I would start counselling rich people out of their guilt.
Naturally I would charge the earth and increase my personal wealth even further. Then I would mount a campaign to abolish charity. How can we call ourselves civilised when people in need have to beg through charitable organisations for things that a decent society would ensure are provided by the state as a matter of course????? |
