In new york state when you give things to the Salvation Army/Goodwill do you get money for it?
Just wondering because we are in serious need of moneyr ight now and this came to mind
Cash on the spot, no. You can probably claim a deduction on your income taxes for it though. If you are old enough and healthy, you might try selling your blood plasma or volunteering for a study, they have those on college campuses everywhere. Maybe sell stuff on eBay?

The word here is GIVE - that means donate, and no they don't pay you.
If you itemize your taxes, you might be able to take a tax deduction for what you donated - that would give you some percentage of the donation off of your taxes.
Wide Awake
Of course not. That's why it is called a DONATION.
ridefakey2
you can deduct your donation from your taxes....
MrCool1978
Probably not
Juliet
No money for donations. But what about having a tag or garage sale?
luisa_mapacha
No, but when you donate you get a recipt reflecting the value of the items and that amount is tax deductible.
Here are some money-making ideas:
Donate blood
Sell old CD's
Sell old clothes to a chain like Buffalo Exchange
Get over it bi+ch....
You get it in the form of a tax deduction.
i suck big dicks!
actually no you dont its mostly just a donation for you to help them
Thank God for Life
I know the salvation army does not give u a single dime, I've donated some clothes/books/electronics and I did not receive no monetary funds. You get a receipt which u keep to file ur taxes at the end of the year.
Your better off just doing a yard sale if u need the immediate cash.

most places do not buy things. you can get a tax right off from it though. i know that doesnt help you immediately. $400 without a receipt. more if you have the receipts.
