To be the person who stirs up controversy every now and then or the people who gossip about everyone behind their backs?

People who stir up controversy. Can get someone in trouble or they can say something that isn't true.

Definitely the gossiper. The person who stirs up controversy is out in the open and everyone does what their about. However, the gossiper is always acting privately and is actually hurting people.

Hmm, that's a tough one. Both are evil in my opinion.

If I had to pick, I'd say the people who spread the gossip without knowing whether or not it is true.

Some controversy is good, like improving your business processes or methods. But discussing peoples' personal lives or problems has no place at work. Meet your co-workers someplace else to do that, if you feel you must disparage people to feel good.

Personally I'm one of those who keep to myself..it's better that way, so people aren't in your business. But I always speak to everyone and my co-workers and I always get along!!

Sometimes 'stirring up controversy' can happen when you try to do something different from "the way we always do it" and that's not an entirely bad thing.

Gossip is evil and destructive and has no place in the workplace.

I think it is worse to be a gossiper. It is better to create controversy by trying to make a difference than to complain about it and do nothing.
