Visa cards are recognized world wide. If there's an ATM machine, your card will work. I was recently in China, and there was no problem. |

Yes, you can use VISA anywhere in the world. If they charge you in US dollars, they'll charge you the exchange rate of the day that you spent. If you're moving to the UK permanently you might want to think about closing your US account and then applying to a credit card once you reach the UK. It will save you money on exchange rates. |

it should be as i just asked this because i am traveling abroad and wanted to know the same thing about my debit card which also has the visa logo...the bank said yes but if the atm machine is not one approved there will be extra fees...now yours is a credit card so there should be no extra fees, in fact its much safe to use a credit card when traveling anywhere. |

Of course it is. The Visa credit card is usable in other places around the world as well. Regardless of the person that's issued a Visa card in their country, it's usable worldwide. |
