In offices, no. Shops and that are often open on Christmas eve so yes, but for most it is already the holiday. People work on boxing day, although most shops are still shut so I wouldn't say it is considered a working day. |

yes, both days are working days. for me, christmas eve is fine, but boxing day is asking too much.
i'll be working both.
edit:
not all companys pay extra for bank holidays. i'll just be getting paid the normal wage.
most shops ARE open on boxing day, there are very little that don't open on boxing day. |

Boxing Day is a Bank Holiday but Christmas Eve is a normal day.....but then when you are working in a 24/7/365 industry those days are considered a working day and you may be working and have tio have the Bank Holiday another day. |

Yes...If you work in a retail environment then Yes Yes, because its in the contract.
i think it apply with few more jobs check what it says in your work place policy for holidays and your contract at work ask your boss or someone at your work. |

they are both classed as sunday working hours, so most shops, offices will be open 10-4, if they are open, some companies give full day paid without needing to work. |

Christmas Eve is a normal working day.
Christmas day and Boxing day are always bank holidays - and are considered 'enhanced pay' days for anyone that has to work them (paid at double the normal rate) |
