Is it a good idea to return back to my former employer?
It has been over a year since I left my old job and I was wondering if it would be wrong to return. I left my old job because of the pay, management, and the work conditions, now i have more experience,I feel I should be paid more.

If you think things will be better, give it a try. If you think things have not changed, why return?

As long as you left on good terms. Just remember most employers try to get experience dirt cheap. Pick a salary you are willing to work for, ask higher (not to high) and be willing to nogotiate. ex. you want $8.00/hr request $10.25/hr and see what happens.

It really depends on how things went when you left. Did you give 2 weeks or more notice or did you just quit and walk out? Did you leave on good terms or did you burn bridges with 1 or more persons?

These are questions you need to ask yourself and if you left on good terms, etc. then I don't see any reason why you can't reapply for a job with your former employer.

Good luck!

Always better to move forward than back, I always say... Would you date an ex-boyfriend who you left because he was cheap, couldn't make decesions and lived like a slob?

You are not going to get paid more, than before. Why go back to something you didn't like before? Stay where you are and advance with your experience.

It's a great opportunity to show how much you have grown as a worker. You know the environment and you have the advantage of knowing what to change, you can show how good you are and to get a greater payment in the short term.
