if they work doing the same job and they both work just as hard as the other than no it is not fair. i don't think it is right for men to be treated or payed better than a women. it's the same thing with the racism should you get payed more just because you white or black or green for all i care. if you are doing the same work and working just as hard there is no reason for the man to get payed more |

No, it's not fair. This is still a male dominated society, hence the difference. But things are changing fast. In some cases, Women are making as much or more than their male counterparts. As women become a more forceful presence in the workforce, things will balance out, or perhaps, the scales will tip the other way. |

No this is not fair but im sure there are reasons for this. Research shows that a man is more commited 2 his job than a woman with her often having things around the house to do. Thats why there are more unemployed women than men. |

You're not quite correct to say SAME EXACT job. You're talking about broad job categories. It's against the law to pay people differently for the exact same job.
Here in the 21st century, the difference comes in primarily because men and women often have different priorities. Men will almost always take the job that pays the most, no matter what. Women more often take into account other factors, including flex time, benefits, things like that.
So a woman might accept a CEO job at a smaller company that pays less because they will let her leave at 3:00, or some other non-pay benefit. The man would probably take the CEO job at the big company that pays more. So they're both CEO's, but the woman gets paid less.
Is everything perfect and fair in the business world for women? No, not yet. But it's not nearly as heinous as you make it sound. |

Most often that is because the people at the top, the ones cutting the paychecks are pompus and don't value the people in their organization. Sometimes it is because they only hire women because they are forced to and so why should they pay them the same. Sometimes it is because some women don't do the same level of work, have the same comittment or drive as some of their male counterparts. I can say from my personal experience this happens. It has not been always my experience, but some girls, usually the ones that have gotten good at manipulating men to get what they want, bring this same idea to their job and don't perform as well. But that is a personality trait not something attributed to their gender. I would imagine that a super hot guy in an all women office could illicit the same atmosphere and he probably would...
There are also positions in which women FAR out perform men, one is sales. Besides the attrictive factor, the showing off buying this, help you out cause your hot and make commission factors, the majority of the time it is because women naturally have good customer skills and make people feel at ease as well as LISTEN to their needs and desires....
