Well it's harder for teenagers to find jobs because they have to fit school in the picture and are limited by the hours they can work, after school and weekends. Your daughter's best bet is to work at a local grocer store or fast food/restaurant type place. When I was younger I worked at Chuck E Cheese's and it was a blast!

you bet it is. but i find it is easier to get a job in a restaurant.

countrygrl278
the easiest place is fast food restaurants when you're young evntually she can work in retail/dept stores which is a little harder

Munchlax
ive been trying to find one for 2 years.

If you are polite, neat, outgoing, friendly ,and have a good work ethic it shouldn't be too hard. I think some teens don't understand that the way they interact with an employer is different than the way they interact with their friends in school. "Dude, Like, I really like NEED this job, bro!" is not going to cut it. If you really want to look deeply into this why not ask some adult friends of your who also know your daughter well, what they think your daughter would need to do to put her best foot forward when job hunting? If they are good friends, they'll tell you. Good Luck.

I am 17 and you can tell your daughter to dress up and go get an application and turn it back in and when called for an interview sound very professional. if she has peircings or visible tatoos tell her to cover them up. just look and sound very professional.

bigearl999
its called having connections. you have them, just you may not know you do. speek to someone you know, a friend or relative that works somewhere and have them hook your daughter up.

Want a better job, a more interesting job then flipping burgers? The answer is to volunteer to get experience. Many youth volunteer and then find that more areas of employment are open to them, and many times the place they volunteer for, after a year or 2, will either hire them or give good references.

Ok, it's a bit tough with no money coming in, but many volunteer jobs have some perks.

Something to think about and it looks great on a resume.
