That's business, what do you think eBay is all about, good luck to you. |

Star

No. How do you think you make a profit otherwise. All stores sell things for more than they paid for it. |

kindle2
no, thats called buisness.
Think about it otherwise how could the store make any money |

No way is that illegal-that's how businesses make money. A bunch of people went and bought the new playstation 3 and paid a few hundred dollars for it. Now they're reselling them for thousands of dollars on ebay. Illegal? I think not!!! |

NO, as long as you are not selling an item that ca be conceived as a necessity in the time of a "disaster" (price gouging). If its a "luxury" item then there are no restriction. |

No Business is conducted for making more money (profit),read the manufacturers privacy policy first. If you violate the Trademark than you will be in trouble if they come to know.Be careful while trading on line. Some fake peoples can ruin your business too. |

Staceyflourpond
This is hardly ever illegal. |

fakemoonlandings
that's business.
it really depends on how much you put on it.
putting a lot on it would give you profit but least of chances someone would buy it. |

walkerfountain
I believe so, but it is probably not fully enforced, because it happens so often in normal life... |

Comrade.., we are livink in Amerika. Land of Capitalism, unt we can sell a five dollar stick for one-tousand unt two hundreed doolars if we want too and can finding someone to actually buy et.
We pay more than what things are worth all the time. The only time when it should be a crime to sell for outrageous amounts over cost is when lives depend on it (life saving drugs, oxygen, breathing apparatuses, Smallville Season 1,2,3 and 4 DVD sets.., etc).
He who as sold for the actual value of an item or less and does this for a living -let him cast the first stone! I just happen to have a nice little stone for sell... $12.95 or best offer.

It's called capitalism. And, no, it's not illegal. |

If you truly purchased it, and save the receipt, I don't think they will try and go after you. Scalping tickets is another matter, apparently. |

SexyArmyWife
if you are doing it on ebay, no! they are selling for $200 on ebay!
privately, i would say no also, i think its only illegal to charge more for sporting game tickets. |

Carys
Yes, of course you can resale. What do you think ebay is for? Those new video game consoles are selling for 2 or 3x what they bought for them. |

vanamont7
I don't know what that is but I do know that's what the stock market is about. Also, fine art. Buy low, sell high. |

rmijares
it's not illegal it's called profit. |

cassiepiehoney
absolutely not- its profit- plain and simple. for example there is the playstation 3 which came out for 5 or 6 hundred but not enough machines put out- tons of people sold them on ebay for at least 1000 |

almondjoy_1000
Of course not.
That's what EBAY is all about.
Most items for sell there are purchased in quantity wholesale and sold for as much as they can get. |

Debby B
I think it is fine- esp online- esp since it is only one- it is not like ticket scalping- where you buy lots and resell for big big money because they are so rare - and have made it a racket=D |

no, that's called making profit, businesess do it all the time |

Hell no woman. How do you think E-bay works. Besides buying and selling at more money than paid for is what all the other large corperational stores do. How do you think they make a profit? |

cowboy
no it is not. if you can get away with it. |

Jen G
I sold my Tickle Me Elmo TMX on EBAY for $224.00 the 1st day it came out!
If someone wants to pay your price it's all good my friend! |

kingstubborn
Of course you can re-sell it. If you do it a lot, you should be prepared to declare the gain as income on your taxes; if it is one item, just go ahead and sell it.
"illegal to sell resell items for more than you purchased it for?"
This is how businesses stay functioning! |

hackey24599
Go ahead, nothing wrong with making a profit. The store did when they sold it to you. If you can sell it for more, then the store is not charging the market price and leaving money on the table. Shame on them. It's kind of a form of arbitrage. |

Bwilkerson
No, what you're doing is not illegal. Sell away! |
