I am in school and to me it is because if you want to party or somthin and your not popular you wont be able to but you can be popular and still get good grades so you will still be able to make a lot of money. It has its advantages. Play sports. |

Well i'm not gonna say that it's something you should be really concerned about, but.....If you know a lot of people chances are you're gonna have a great time. Paries, hanging out, football games, even after grad parties and get togethers!!!! It's not about being the cheerleader capitan, it's about being outgoing and talking to a lot of kids. HS is a 4 yr period of your time that you'll never get back... |

Popualarity in school is way over rated! You end up trying to please everyone elses expectations of you and lose your true identity in the end. Remember: You can't please all the people all the time. Just be yourself and friends will come. |

No because being popular can be more stessful trying to keep up than not being. You only really need a few friends to keep you happy. I was always popular but it really did nothing for me at the end. It doesn't always follow you after you get out than what was the point. Popular people only get notice because of there money and how they look. If you are a good person people will like you naturally. |

no it is not. but many kids feel the pressure of needing everyone to like them when the most important thing is to get your education so you can move up in life. After you finish school and move on in life and working at a well educated job around all the high priority society folks then this will bring you automatic popularity without even trying. |
