I like detailed answers, too, so it's not just you. :)
What I don't like is when I spend time responding with a thoughtful answer, know I've written the best answer, and then the person who asked the question puts it up for a vote. It's like, "Thanks a lot!" I don't even care about the points. I just don't feel my time's appreciated. |

Yes people like detailed answers. When I sk a question I like to think that some of the people care enough to really try to answer, and not with some off the wall answer unless it is off the wall question. |

There are two extremes for me. If it is one word or a phrase, then I think that people are giving a simple opinion, or maybe they are doing it for points.
Then there is the really loooooooong post. The ones that look like the whole thing is copy and pasted doesn't speak to me. Sometimes it looks like they are trying too hard.
I prefer the ones in the middle. |
