If you are in the UK and the goods are all within the boundary of your own property it is perfectly legal, unless you are doing this on a frequent basis.
If your goods start to spill out onto the pavement, then it ceases to be legal.
The earlier suggestion about E-bay (or similar site) may be easier and more useful to follow up, though. |

Depends on where you live and how often you do it. Most places allow 3 to 5 yard sales a year before they start expecting you to have a vendors permit and proper zoning. |

where do you live??? are you in a condo or apartments with restrictions??? that info would have been helpful.
anyway - if there are no restrictions, then have a porch sale (like a garage sale)
why not??
if you have big items, put them on Craigslist for free with your phone, pix, you'll get more. |

It depends on where you live... check out your city's ordinances. The city I live in allows garage sales but the city 30 miles away forbids them. oh, and a garage sale doesn't have to be in a garage, it can be on your doorstep! :) you can get into some trouble if you do it everyday.... then it becomes a resale shop or store rather than a one or two day yard sale. |

I don't think so, you own the land or property you are living in or renting so selling on your doorstep is probably not a problem. NB: use eBay, much larger customer base millions spent every minute!

Some cities require you to have like a garage sale permit. Few people pay attention to that rule though. |
