In this case, I'd buy the item from another seller, because of the neg. feedback. In general, using a credit card is safe, but this seller may not be honest, and could take you to the cleaners. Sure your credit card company will eventually work it all out for you, and get you a new account number and new cards. But who needs the hassle?
God bless! |

sounds fishy. I only bid on auctions that accept paypal, so i can get my money back. It's happened to me. |

Honestly, I wouldn't risk it. Just go and pay a few extra bucks and go to another seller and make sure you're not just burning money, or worse, giving away your credit card. |

You would be safer to bid on an item from a person who has negative feedback to pay with a credit card. If you do not get the item, call your credit card company and dispute the charge to your card as item never received. But anyone who has feedback for not sending an item, I would personally stay away from. |

it can be. but those things sound a little severe and I never buy from something that says credit card only. I will use pay pal only and 1 time i paid cash but that was in person after i saw and tested out the item(it was an outboard boat motor). I would not do it. |

Depends how many neg and how many pos they can give them selfs positive ones through a fake account. Credit card can be offshore and you can't get you money back
I think I would look elsewhere |

From experience, it would be best that you don't. I took more than 2 months to get something that I bought! Had to open dispute with PayPal. Good thing was that I payed through PayPal, I was insured. For the credit card, its a different story. If that happened to you and it was a debit card, you might be able to sort it through your bank. Not too sure though. |

What ratio of bad to good ratings? More than 1 out of 20 is a problem IMHO. Are the negative ratings all recent or spread out? If they are all recent I would run like the wind - if they are spread out over the life of the account it's probably normal business issues. Remember - the POSITIVE feedback can be faked. Negative feedback is usually genuine. |

if i was you i wouldnt try any deal with this person. after all negative ratings are NEGATIVE for a reason. |

kind of a stupid question isnt it? no offense... Think about it, bad feed back? not worth the risk.... I wouldnt purchase an item from a seller with bad marks.
because, theres plenty of people on ebay, and what ever your looking for is bound to show up again somwhere probrably... next time maybe from a much better seller. |

It depends on the ratio of good to bad, I suppose. If they are a power seller with 5,000 feedback and they have a 99.9% positive I would not have a problem bidding, you can't make everyone happy. If they have 200 feedback and it's a 92%, I'd be leary. I prefer to pay with Paypal, I've had three disputes over items in the past six years and each time Paypal found in my favor and refunded my money. If my credit card offered buyer protection, I might consider it. Hope this helps you decide. |

Sometimes a few negative ratings can be ok. If the seller provided answers to the feedback with a reasonable explanation, it might just be that there was a misunderstanding. The buyer may have misread the posting or was too picky.
If the seller hasn't responded to the feedback, and the feedback makes you uncomfortable, I would not risk it, even for a good deal. |

Only credit cards, but not through PayPal? That doesn't make much sense.
Look at their feedback rating, 90-100%, I wouldn't worry too much. Things go wrong, not everyone will maintain a 100% rating. Less than that I'd look elsewhere. Also watch for sellers with expensive items a small number of transactions.
If you're ever in question just say no. |
