no - everything will go up in price - when they got rid of the half pence, everything went up, not down. |

NO, THAT WOULD RAISE INFLATSION TO ~3.4%!!! |
|

?

no! what about everything that's £1.99? It'll get rounded up to £2 and before you know it we're all being ripped off! plus it's an institution, i was gutted when they withdrew the £1 note and made the 5p's all tiddly and the 50p's less chunky! |

How would you get change for something that costs 2p or 4p or 19p or 49p or 99p or £1.99 or £4.99 or £9.99 or £19.99 or £49.99 |

NO! I remember being a kid when they got rid of the half penny and was gutted that my favourite mojo chew had doubled in price overnight. Think about the poor kids with their penny chews!! |

Yes. Copper coins ie below 5p are worthless in today's society. My bar has prices that all end in a 5 or 0 to avoid the need for copper. |

no - it would cause serious inflation |

They can occasionally come in handy when you've left the petrol nozzle in for slightly too long, but other than that, and for buying penny sweets (which actually are about 3p now, not a penny at all), and for playing on the 1&2p machines at the arcades, I can't see any use for them. I have heards of them in my car, and in draws at home, because they clog up my handbag far too much, so I have to dispose of them. |

Most definitely.....
I work with money & the bronze coins are a real pain in the rear end!, they weigh too much & take up too much room in your pocket.
I woudln't mind if they were got rid of - even if this meant rounding everything up to the nearest 5p!
Lets Get Rid! |
