Limewire itself is not illegal. It is simply a peer-to-peer sharing program that can be used to share any kind of electronic file. However, people who use it to distribute and/or download copyrighted materials are breaking the law. This includes music, movies, software, etc. Unfortunately, this is what 90% of people are using it for. |

No. Limewire is a program, and a registered trademark, therefore a legal thing. However, some of the things that can be done with limewire could be considdered illegal. |
