This sounds serious. I wouldn't be surprised if he is dead. Poor thing. Have you tried poking him? Does he smell bad? Rotten flesh is usually dead, so the smell helps you identify what is wrong. No, I don't think that goldfish hibernate but I will google it and see if I can come up with anything for you. If I find anything I will update my question with it as soon as possible. |

Yes, goldfish hibernate. You want to make sure to poke it so that you can make sure that there is air in it. Also, you need to make sure that there is an adquate amount of red meat in the tank. If the fish doesn't get the adquate amount of beef right after it gets up it could die. Also, don't worry about the strange smell. It is all normal. |
