As a happy New Yorker, I'd have to say that you should move to the city. |

It depends on your reasons for leaving. But you already said you feel you need to leave.
Some things that may affect your decision:
1. Age - it's easier a lot of times for younger people to move because they usually have less responsibility/obligations/ties to where they are. However, if you are young, it may be hard to survive in a big city because of cost of living, job hunting, and lack of experience.
2. Money - moving is never cheap, but I would venture to say if you are going to move anywhere in an urban part of CA, it will be very expensive.
3. Jobs - have you done a job search? What kind of work are you looking for or willing to do? Do you have enough education/experience to get a job where you can survive?
There are a lot of things to think about before you move anywhere, so do your research.
Good luck! |

You shouldn't feel bad about leaving your hometown. After all, you can always go back if a large city doesn't meet your expectation. Try to find a job in a city and move there. Live there and see how you like it. Personally, I can't imagine living in a small town, I'm in NYC and I love it. |

I would say keep your home base if you do move. In other words, keep your home or apartment in your home town just in case you change your mind. I was raised in a tiny town in Southern New Mexico. I now live in Albuquerque, NM the largest city in the state. I am home sick. God willing, I want to buy land in my home town |

honey let me give you some advice. no one can make this decession for you. maybe you should just go to a big city and if you dont like it try another and so on until you find the place for you. the place for me or others may not be the place for you. spread your wings and fly and then when you find the place for you. start your nest there. |

Go see the world!! Move to the big city and check it out. If it is your thing, you won't want to leave. If not, you can always go back home. |

Just live in both places. That way you can stay at home when you want and stay in the city when you want. |

If you really think you should, then do it. Do what your heart tells you, not what we tell you. |

If you feel the need to move on, then prehaps it is best for you to do so. My adivce is to stop and look to see if it is possible to do so. Check to see if you can afford it and if you will be able to find work and a place to live. Also, if you have a family, you should take that into consideration also. |
