deal locally, in person. cash only. avoid getting scammed on cl.
paypal is quite safe. Craigslist is not. |

Been using it for over a year now and i have had no problems.I mainly use it for Ebay and paypal has been just great,no one can scam you on ebay when you use paypal. |

Yes, paypal is safe. They do, however, want you to give them your bank account number. It has to do with some money laundering laws - you can only spend so much money (via your credit card), before they cut you off, but the limit is really high.
Now credit cards have limits, and I can always get a new card and cancel the old one. Bank accounts, however, are a different matter. I would never send my bank account number over the internet (even encrypted).
If you are concerned, your bank probably offers "rechargeable" debt cards. You get one, and put $100 on it. When you've spent $100, you can go in and put another $100 on it, etc. So, you get one of these and "charge it" with however much money you need, then pay via paypal. |

totally. paypal is better than any other form of payment, because they will protect you in case the seller doesn't come through. Plus you aren't exposing your credit card info to someone you dont know, paypal makes sure all your private info stays that way. |

Paypal has many many scams and lawsuits. Surely people are joking when they say ebay and paypal will protect you. What planet did you all beam down from? Read about the many scams regarding ebay and paypal and how ebay/paypal do nothing in response.. Now, as a buyer, you can do a chargeback with Paypal, so it's safer as a buyer vs a seller to use paypal. |
