If you are dealing with foreign exchange, you ought to keep in mind that the value (or rates) keep fluctuating. Many have tried to provide exact current values, so I'll not repeat it. But you can always check the current rate at http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?amt=1&from=USD&to=CAD&submit=Convert which shows you also the rate movement in form of a graph amongst other data.

Yes it is, but I don't know what the exchange rate is. I just read in the online newspapers for North Dakota that the Canadians are shopping until they drop in the USA because of it.

$1.00 Canadian is worth $0.97 us. Not worth the conversion difference. You can find exchange rates for all currencies in the business section of your news paper.
