No not always. Companies just have to deal with them using the correct manner.

Of course not, however, many companies want you to handle them carefully so they feel they are right.

HELL NO !!!!. I work as a dispatcher...and the client is usually wrong..but it's your job to make them feel as if they are in control of the situation. If you can manage to master this method...you'll do just fine in the customer service area. =)

Of course not - the 'real' saying is 'Always make the customer feel they are right'

spring_rainbows
To a business, the customer is always right as they wan't the customer to return. However if real life, no the customers aren't always right but then again there not always wrong either.

Little Red Apple
No, they're very rarely right but unfortunately they take this saying as though it was the law.

No.

One of the techniques that businesses have to learn is when to "fire" customers. It's possible to be too demanding, too unreasonable, too picky, too opinionated, too difficult to deal with.

And maybe it's not even the customer's fault. Suppose you're a gourmet and walk into McDonalds. You order a hamburger (thin) and fries (thin and oversalted). You pronounce the food a travesty and ask the manager for your money back. It's just a mismatch between customer needs and expectations and the store. Flip the scenario around: A family of four walks into a high class restaurant and expects a decent meal for $15. It just can't happen.

That customer may be a good customer for another business, but just not for yours.

The customer is not always right.

As if!

Trouble is you either end up dealing with an idiot customer

OR

as a customer the company has put in so much small print there isn't a chance in hell you'll be right.
