Is there a device for licking envelopes so I don't have to?
I'm sure there is. Some sort of wet pad or something that can moisten the envelope gum so I don't have to lick them - I have 1000 to seal!

What is it called?

You can get an envelope moistener from an office supply store (officemax, staples, etc) or make your own or get a dog with a lot of time on his hands or just the tape the things shut.

They have sponges for moisture, if you don't have on I use the corner of a wash cloth and dip my finger and run t across (not too wet tho)

You couisten a sponge and place it in a bowl to run the envelope glue over that does the job just as well, like what you normally see in post offices, or next time, you could buy the enveloped that have self-adhesive glue where you only need to remove a thin plastic sheet from the lining.

spanther22
you can use a little sponge or use sellotape (scotchtape)

a dab of water on the glue gum is fine or sticky tape is another option...there's no need to go and spend money on a device. half of the envelopes could already be sealed by then!
